Hello!
We are Clay and Ashley, a (soon-to-be) married couple from northeast Kansas. In the spring of 2021, we purchased a converted 2010 sprinter van and set a goal to be living in it full-time beginning in the fall of 2022.
In the interim 18 months, we've taken Stan (the van) on several road trips to Chicago (twice!), Leadville, and Bentonville.
Ashley has been interested in van life for years and she (somewhat easily) talked Clay into it during a vacation to Vermont where we realized that a nomadic lifestyle would be a perfect fit for each of our personalities.
Clay's background is in emergency medicine and CrossFit coaching. He will do a great job driving a large vehicle and making Ashley work out.
Ashley works as a software engineer and will continue doing so on the road (thanks Starlink!).
Together, we love going on adventures with the dogs, reading, drinking coffee, and pretty much anything else that allows us to spend time together. :)
We plan to share our adventures here, and on our Instagram, as well as our favorite campsites, workouts, and other travel-related finds.
Sasha is an 8-year-old Shiba Inu with a lot of personality. She'll be spending most of her time on the van napping on the bed, "Lick" Croix in-paw, while we slave away making her life as comfortable as possible. It's a tough life being a Shiba.
Luna is a 3-year-old Husky/Samoyed mix. She will do anything for a walk around the block. In addition to her infatuation with rabbits, Luna loves hearing her own voice, especially if you're caught giving attention to another dog. She also gives great hugs.
